How do I burn my La Belle Chandelle Candle?

​Believe it or not, there is a right way and a wrong way to burn your candle. Yes, Coconut wax can burn longer and cleaner then Soy and or Parrafin, however, if you do not take care of your wicks. You will have soot..There will be soot with anything that has a flame. You must keep your wicks trimmed to 1/4" for it to perform at its best. You should always burn your candle for at least 2 hours and no more then 4 hours. Rule of thumb is to burn 1 hour per 1" of diameter that your candle is. EX: 3" diameter candle = burn for 3 hours. By keeping your wick trimmed to 1/4", it will burn cleaner and longer. Should you find your wick is smoking, check there is no draft and if it's been more then 3-4 hours, carefully extinguish your potion and trim wick. By always doing this one simple thing, you will find your potions will burn much cleaner and longer. Always follow the warning labels that are affixed to the bottom of all La Belle Chandelle Candles. • Always trim wick to 1/4" - Long or crooked wicks cause dripping and uneven burning

• Always keep a burning candle in sight

• Never leave a burning candle unattended

• Keep candle away from all drafts, vents or air currents

• Keep away from pets and children

• Burn on heat resistant surface

• Keep debris out of wax pool

• It's best to put candle out with a candle snuffer as it eliminates smoke when extinguishing candle

• Never use water to extinguish a candle

• Burn Candle in a well ventilated room

• Never move a candle while burning

• Never use a candle as a night light

• Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire

• Extinguish your candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers or the flame becomes too high. Let it cool, check for drafts, trim the wick before relighting.

Why doesn't La Belle Chandelle use 100% Coconut Wax?

Through our many tests and trials, we found that our unique fragrance mixes and wicks tested worked best with our current formula of over 75% Coconut Wax with the other % made up of Vegetable Wax and Paraffin. Through our many trials, we tested many formulas of different waxes, etc. It's not that one was better then the other or worse then the other, it's what worked as a combined formula to have a safe, highly fragrant, long burning candle that we use our current formula. We don't favor one wax over the other and Paraffin in fact is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in food, cosmetics and medical applications. We believe that any candle manufactured must be tested properly to ensure a proper burn. A well made candle will go through vigorous testing to ensure a proper burning candle. Does La Belle Chandelle use lead wicks?

No, we do not use Lead wicks. Lead wicks were banned from the U.S. in 2003.

Do your weights listed on product include the glass?

No. Our weights listed all show the wax only used in each glass offered. We do not include the weight of the glass and only our creamy potions so you know how much wax you are getting.

 

How do you know how many hours your potions will burn?

We have gone through rigorous testing to ensure we give the most accurate burn times. There is a formula that we use in order to achieve this. We have taken our best and worst times possible and have come up with what we believe to be a true and fair statement of how many hours your potion will last if burned properly. By stating "best and worst" times possible, we have done all of our testing with hours logged for each potion when burned getting the "best" results when the wick is trimmed to 1/4" before each lighting and having candle burn with no draft in room to determine the most accurate hours. By stating "worst" time, we have done all testing for each potion and logged burn times for scenarios should the wick "not" be trimmed to 1/4" each time before lighting, letting them burn beyond 4 hours at a time, placing in drafts, etc. so that we know what every "possible" outcome "could" be. This is how we have come up with determining the best burn time for your beautiful potion.

When will my order ship?

Most orders will ship within 24-48 hours. Business days only, not including weekends. While we do our best to quickly ship all orders within the 24-48 Hour time frame, we face longer production schedules during the Holiday Seasons.

 

Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

Currently, we ship within the United States and Canada.

 

How do I return product?

You must email orders@labellechandelle.com in order to receive an RA number. Returns sent without an RA number will not be accepted. If items arrive broken, we "may" ask for photo.
